Dunlap Community SD #323 – Dunlap Middle School (IL)

This is the second middle school of the district, and is a 79,000 square foot facility with the capacity for 450 students. The expanded core was designed to accommodate a future build-out for a capacity of 900 students. The classrooms are designed around a resource area to support the “house” concept. The central street connects the houses to the labs and other support functions of the school.

Roscoe Middle School Roscoe, Illinois
This new 80,000 square foot middle school was built around the teaming/house philosophy. The school is comprised of four academic spaces or “houses” organized in clusters of 125 students. Each “house” includes four general classrooms, one flexible classroom, specific conference rooms, an open resource area and a staff planning room.
All of the spaces within this middle school were designed specifically to enable the District to accommodate future technology improvements. The school is flexible and/or expandable as it is designed for maximum community use.
Valley View SD #365U Facilities Romeoville / Bolingbrook, IL
These projects represent continued work at facilities in the Valley View School District #365U, involving the replacement of air-cooled chillers at two schools:
Romeoville High School
Oak View Elementary School
Previous projects by Gage Engineers within the Valley View School District include HVAC renovations at the Brooks Middle School. Gage’s work with this district has been in partnership with Kenneth J Kogut & Associates.
The main challenge of these projects was to efficiently implement the installation of new systems and equipment replacement at an older facility, within the seasonal time constraints. Gage successfully manages these challenges at client facilities on a regular basis, as specialists in the design and planning of equipment upgrades.
